Johnson family study presented by Graham
Jaunay
I hope that this site will assist:
• to re-establish lost links between members
of the family,
• to encourage pride in our name and its history,
and,
• to research our family tree and share this knowledge
with one another.
We have no idea of the Johnson family origins. They first come to light in Lincolnshire but the bulk of the supporting families originate in Norfolk and Suffolk. My great great grandfather, George Johnson and his family, came to South Australia on the China (pictured above) in 1847.
This is my own maternal Johnson line:
• George Johnson (my great great grandfather)
married a Cannell.
• George Johnson(my great grandfather) married
a Westbury.
• Allan Edgar John Johnson (my grandfather) married
a Harris
• Norma Gwendoline Johnson(my mother) married
a Jaunay.
• Graham Robert Jaunay (me) married a Knox.
